Job Description
Granary Care is pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for an experienced social worker to join the organisation as a Service Manager. The post holder will be driven to provide quality care, lead the team in delivering outstanding support services and be able to communicate effectively both verbally and written.
About the Service
Granary Families Assessment Centre is a residential family centre located in the Borough of Harrow, Middlesex. Our mission is to provide a compassionate environment for families where robust, fair and evidence-based assessments of parenting skills and capability for Local Authority and Courts are conducted.
Relationships between families and babies are created, nurtured, and supported to be the best it can be prior to reintegration in the community or possible separation. Dedicated professionals provide a range of parental assessments and holistic therapeutic services in a residential accommodation.
There is a strong focus placed on safeguarding and meeting the emotional, social, educational needs of parents and their children. With a clear admission and discharge policy, parents are encouraged to utilise educational services provided by the facility to improve positive outcomes in their final assessments.
About the Role
The successful candidate will have delegated responsibility for operations of the centre on a daily basis, including supervision of permanent staff and the management of staff allocation rota to ensure a smooth continuous service delivery of the organisation in compliance with statutory legislative, policies, and statutory requirements. A good knowledge of childcare laws and good practices would be a definite asset.
