HEAD OF RESIDENTIAL CHILDCARE SERVICES

£51,439 - £56,252 per annum

LOCATION: ST ELIZABETH’S CENTRE, MUCH HADHAM SG10 6EW

Do you have experience of leading and managing Residential Children’s Homes?

Are you experienced in Ofsted inspections and Children’s Home compliance and are seeking a new challenge?

About the role

After an exciting period of change at St Elizabeth’s, having recently dissolved our Children’s Home single registration across eight individually registered houses, we now have an opportunity for a co-Head of Residential Childcare Services to join our experienced team. You will work alongside the co-Head of Residential Child Care Services and as part of a collegiate leadership team to lead, develop and oversee four of the eight registered children’s homes, ensuring the highest standard of care across the service.

About You

This opportunity will allow you to use your existing knowledge and expertise in the management of Children’s Homes, to implement new ideas, support and develop our Registered Managers, ensure best practice and compliance with Ofsted regulations, whilst working alongside the co-head of Head of Residential Child Care Services and Senior Children’s Home Management Team to ensure a safe and professional environment for our staff, children and young people.

You’ll be working in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams across St Elizabeth’s, liaising with children and young people, families and our Senior Leadership Team, so well developed interpersonal skills are essential. We’re looking for someone who has experience of working with children and young people with learning disabilities in a care setting as a Registered Manager (or similar). The successful candidate will be experienced in Ofsted inspections, compliance and regulations. You will also need to have a relevant degree or equivalent professional qualification in Residential Child Care or Health & Social Care (at least at Level 4 RMA).

Recognising and developing talent is key to us as an organisation, that’s why we will support the successful applicant to achieve their Level 5 in Leadership & Management qualification within their first few months at St Elizabeth’s.
