Working hours: 40 hours a week with the expectation that these will be worked flexibly to meet the needs of the service you support
Salary: £45,000 per annum, plus bonus of £5,000 payable on successful completion of 6 month probationary period

About our service

We are opening a new children’s home in Studley which will provide care and support for up to 6 children. The children / young people we will support will have learning disabilities, autism, complex needs and present behaviours that challenge. Our home environment and ethos ensure that the needs of the individual children come first, enabling them to express their characters, feel safe and enrich their lives.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Registered Manager who is competent and confident to open our new service and has connections within the area. You will utilise your extensive experience and leadership skills, as you will be responsible for the running of all aspects of the home, ensuring it runs as efficiently as possible whilst maintaining the highest standards of care to our children.

About you

To be successful in the role of Registered Manager you will need to have a minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a management position supporting children / young people with Learning Disabilities. Experience of supervising and supporting a staff team who care for children. The right candidate will have a good working relationship with commissioners and social services within the area.

It is essential you have knowledge of current legislation including Children’s Regulations, The Quality Standards, Every Child Matters, Safeguarding and have a good understanding of the role of Ofsted and experience of dealing with inspections. A full driving licence and own transport would be an advantage. The successful candidate must also hold or being willing to achieve the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Care or an equivalent qualification.

You will need to demonstrate strong leadership skills with the ability to successfully manage and motivate those working within the service.

The successful candidate will be required to be approved for registration by OFSTED as well as undergo an enhanced DBS check and will be subject to extensive referencing and pre-employment checks.
