Job Type: Permanent, Full-time (37.5 hours/week)

Love146 is looking for an experienced Team Manager (Social Worker, registered with Social Work England), who has a passion for working with children and young people affecting by trafficking and forced migration. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing organisation and to lead a dynamic and experienced team providing accommodation, outreach care and support to safeguard, protect, meet the needs, and promote the rights of children trafficked from abroad.

Job Role

Do you have the drive, aptitude, and vision to lead a small team of qualified social workers and support workers to deliver an outstanding package of accommodation, care and support to children and young people who are survivors of child trafficking? Do you have the motivation and organisational skills to promote and develop a growing service across London and the South Coast? Love146 is looking for an experienced Senior Social Worker, registered with Social Work England to manage our Children and Young People’s Support (CYPSS) Team.

The Love146 CYPSS is at the forefront of meeting the needs of the children and young people we work for: designing individual safety plans; working alongside statutory and non-statutory partners to support delivery of intervention plans; developing meaningful and supportive relationships with young people as they navigate their journey of recovery. The team provides consistency, care and quality support and advocates on behalf of children when their rights are not upheld.

As the Love146 CYPSS Team Manager, working under the Director of Services, you will manage and supervise your team, ensuring they deliver services effectively and professionally, using key social work research, theories and evidenced based practice interventions, underpinned by trauma informed models of care. You will also undertake direct work as required, supporting practice in complex cases, undertaking time-limited social work assessments, preparing reports, and developing and delivering child trafficking training. Equality, diversity, and inclusion will be central to your practice.

You will be experienced and confident in child protection, child looked after and children leaving care systems, the NRM, immigration and asylum systems, age assessments and the benefits system. Experience of delivery of supported accommodation and transition housing for young people is desirable but not essential. You will be familiar with relevant statutory guidance and legislation, comfortable working in a multi-agency environment and working within local authority frameworks and child protection and safeguarding procedures. You understand the importance of building the active participation and engagement of young people in the development and delivery of our services.

Our successful CYPSS Team Manager will have excellent organisational and leadership qualities. They will enjoy working closely and collaboratively with a team of dedicated colleagues and will use their initiative and drive to enhance and develop policies, process, and systems to monitor, measure and support service delivery.

In return for your dedication, we offer you ongoing opportunities for professional development and growth, training, and regular supervision.

This position is office based with flexibility for home working. A laptop & phone will be provided. Love146 offices are located close to Clapham Junction. The successful candidate must have their own transport, be willing to work across London and the South Coast as needed. Flexibility in working hours will be required with occasional out of hours work.
