Islington, London

37.5hrs per week

We have an opportunity for someone with the right aptitude and experience to join our young people's accommodation services in North London as a Service Manager.

Single Homeless Project is a London-wide charity. Our vision is of a society where everyone has a place to call home and the chance to live a fulfilling life.  We help single Londoners by preventing homelessness, providing support and accommodation, promoting wellbeing, enhancing opportunity, and being a voice for change. From supporting people in crisis to helping people take the final steps towards independence and employment, we make a difference to 10,000 lives every year across all 32 boroughs.

We are looking for someone comfortable and confident at leading a team within an accommodation setting. You will also be committed to supporting young people, have the capacity to self-develop and be capable of managing others in an environment of continuous improvement. You will also be creative and motivated to inspire opportunities for our young people to access.

We are looking for someone who can:

  •  Manage the delivery of service to YP with a diverse range of needs, including offending, gang affiliation and developing attachment needs.
  •  Build and maintain strong partnerships with stakeholders
  •  Motivate and lead a team through change and shape services to meet local priorities
  •  Develop and build on our structured activities programme for young people

At Single Homeless Project, we welcome and encourage applications from people of all backgrounds and are committed to having a workforce that is made up of diverse individuals, skills, experiences and abilities.  Due to current under –representation at management level, we particularly encourage applications from individuals within our Black and Asian communities.

Closing date: 25th May 2022 (at Midnight)

This post will require an Enhanced DBS check to be processed for the successful applicant.

Our attractive benefits package includes:

  • 25 days annual leave, increasing annually to the maximum 30 days (plus paid Bank Holidays),
  • A contributory pension scheme: Single Homeless Project will contribute the equivalent of 5% of your annual salary
