The North Region comprises a mixed portfolio of work including extensive work in Supported Accommodation, Emotional Health and Wellbeing, Disability, Young Carers, CSE, Early Help and Leaving Care.  The Region covers a large geographical area stretching from Northumberland, South of Tyne, North of Tyne, Cumbria, Yorkshire, Lancashire, Hull, Manchester, Greater Manchester, Merseyside, Cheshire and Lincolnshire,

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Children's Services leader in the Greater Manchester Locality. We are looking for someone preferably who has led a wide range of children's services, with an understanding of change management and service design. You will need to have great interpersonal skills combined with excellent leadership and management experience with a passion to improve the lives of our most vulnerable children and young people.

We are looking for an individual who has substantial experience in managing and developing services to meet the needs of children, young people and families.  You will have a business development remit and you will play an intrinsic part in the North Senior Leadership Team to ensure stable high-quality services. As part of the North Senior Leadership Team you will be one of 10 Assistant Director Children's Services covering the region, supported by our excellent Assistant Directors and their teams from business support services.
