Active Involvement Youth Worker

Salary: £30.788 – £32,453

We are currently recruiting a full time Active Involvement Youth Worker within the Active Involvement Team for children in and leaving care in Bromley. As the Active Involvement Team our primary goal is to create groups and experiences where our young people feel a sense of belonging, can gain an understanding of their identity, gain achievements, and contribute to service developments. As part of the Active Involvement Team you will lead on delivering activities to ensure that our children and young adults have a say and are actively involved and valued in service planning, service delivery and decisions affecting their lives.

You will be required to lead on facilitating face to face youth work sessions including the development of our care leavers forum Change for Care Leavers (CfCL) and co-facilitation of our Living in Care Council (LinCC). You will also lead on our new Food for Thought (a consultation project) and Young Parents project, as well as other new group work offers. As a team we deliver many events throughout the year and you will be required to organise some, especially our Celebration of Success ceremony.

You will be expected to work to a high professional standard whilst building trusting relationships with young people and colleagues.
