Senior Young Women’s Worker

Canaan Project is a dynamic youth work organisation working with 11-19 year old young women in Tower Hamlets, East London. Inspired by our evangelical Christian faith, we seek to create opportunities, experiences and support where young women can flourish, have broadened horizons and raised aspirations.

This role involves leading a team of Young Women’s Workers and volunteers in delivering a range of activities in a variety of settings including drop-in youth club sessions, small groups, projects and one to ones and developing our newly established work within local secondary schools and in the community. This role would be an exciting opportunity for someone who has experience working with young women.

We are seeking someone who:

  • Has a JNC/ equivalent qualification or a variety of youth work experience
  • Shares our passion to see young women flourish
  • Can think creatively, take initiative and implement their ideas
  • Work independently as well as part of a team

This role is open to female applicants only (this role is exempt under the Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9 Part 1, Paragraph 1). Applicants should be sympathetic to the foundational Christian values and ethos of the Canaan Project. We particularly welcome applicants from BAMER communities.
