Barnardo's Training and Consultancy is looking to appoint an experienced Safeguarding Consultant to support the work of the consultancy team. The role will involve working in a commercial environment as a team member responsible for the design and completion of safeguarding consultancy work. Given the impact of the pandemic we are undertaking some work online so good IT proficiency as well as a high level of professional integrity and sound competency in, and experience of advising on complex safeguarding matters will be key requirements. The post holder will be expected to support the Head of Business with the delivery of consultancy work, working as part of a highly skilled team, where confidence and a detailed knowledge of the safeguarding agenda is essential. This is a busy and demanding environment so you should enjoy working at a pace and enjoy variety.

A professional qualification is required in social work, health, education or youth work. Substantial experience of working with children, young people and families, and of having managed service delivery is a requirement. 

This role will require a DBS check.
