Trusts Manager - London
Salary: £39,261 (+ benefits)
Location: Victoria, London
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Closing Date: 10am, Monday 8th November
The Redthread team has grown significantly over the last few years, and we have further opportunities to expand our services in the year ahead. Our highly successful fundraising team has enabled this growth by driving income generation from new sources and increasing our reserves.
We are looking for an exceptional Trusts Manager to join the team. We are looking for someone with significant trusts fundraising experience who is ready to take on responsibility for this vital income stream. You will have responsibility for the whole grant proposal cycle, resulting in successfully securing six and seven figure grants. You will need to be a pro-active and engaging relationship manager, able to adapt your communication and presentation style to suit a variety of partners. You’ll have excellent writing skills, an ability to assimilate complex information for a range of audiences, and a keen eye for detail. You will need to be ambitious, resilient and driven, able to find creative solutions and maximise funding opportunities for our cause.
You’ll be line-managing a talented Trusts Officer, and will also support other colleagues within the team who support trusts fundraising as part of their roles. You’ll need to have a collaborative and inspirational management style, able to coach and empower newer fundraisers to achieve their objectives and develop their skills. And you will enjoy being part of an ambitious and dynamic team; willing to support and contribute to the whole team’s income generation activities as needed.
Redthread has a strong grants portfolio but there is still plenty of room for development – it’s a real chance to make your mark. There are opportunities to engage large funders and solicit transformational gifts for Redthread’s work. In the last financial year, Charitable Trusts and Foundations were Redthread’s largest source of voluntary income so your work will make a demonstrable difference to young people’s lives. In a recent survey, 100% of Redthread’s London team said they feel their job makes a difference to young people’s lives every day, with 87% feeling like they help make the city safer for young people.
If you enjoy communicating service impact, working closely with frontline staff and with senior stakeholders, can identify strategic funding opportunities and are passionate about young people, we would like to hear from you. During the pandemic our teams have been working from home, but are now beginning to spend some days at home and some in the office in Victoria. We expect to be establishing a more permanent hybrid working pattern in the future, where the expectation will be that this role will spend at least some time per week in the office, or out meeting teams or funders.
In return, the successful candidate will receive a competitive salary, a supportive and flexible working environment, excellent staff training and development package and access to a range of employee benefits including; access to enhanced employee assistance programme services, employer pension scheme contribution, enhanced annual leave and family leave entitlements and more.
Please see the job pack on our website for full details of the role and how to apply.
Applications deadline: 10am, Monday 8th November
Please Note: If we receive a high number of applications, we reserve the right to close the advert before the closing date. Therefore, early applications are encouraged.
