Do you have a passion for working with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities?

We have three fulfilling positions for SEND Early Years Educators at Goldington Community Nursery in Bedford. These are term-time posts working 32.5 hours per week.

You can apply right away since we are considering applications as they come in! Don't forget to hit "Submit" once you have finished completing the form.

What we can offer you
We have a friendly working environment where your contribution will be valued. You will be well supported by the nursery team who will provide you with a safe and secure environment to work in. We offer family-friendly policies, a strong commitment to your continuing professional development, and the opportunity for you to implement your own ideas.

About us
Goldington Community Nursery welcomes children aged 6 months to 5 years and is situated in the heart of the community. The setting is privileged to have access to a large outdoor space and is growing in popularity. Ofsted has recently rated the nursery as ‘good’ and we have exciting plans on how we will achieve ‘Outstanding’ at the next inspection. There is a diverse population accessing the nursery which adds to the challenge and excitement of what we believe in as a Charity; that every child has the right to the best possible start in life regardless of background, culture or religion.

What we are looking for
You will be at least level 2 qualified (preferably level 3) with experience of working with the EYFS and children up to the age of 5. To be successful you will need a positive approach to team working and a ‘hands-on, can-do’ attitude. A competent use of spoken and written English is essential in order to effectively communicate with children, parents, colleagues, and other professionals, and to be able to produce high quality observations for the assessment of children’s development.

When you apply: please state your notice period or the earliest date you can start. You can tell us about this in the "Supporting Information" field when you make your application.

Please note: These are term-time posts. This is a fixed-term contract to 31st July 2022.

Please do not delay sending in your application since we may appoint before the closing date if we receive suitable applications. An Enhanced DBS check is required for this role.
