This role could be considered for part time working, minimum 26.5 hours, for the right candidate.

We have two support positions available within our small and friendly central team. Family Support Centres are places where children under 11 years old and their families can receive seamless integrated services, support and information. You will provide administrative assistance to the Data and Impact Team and the Communications and Marketing Team. For one of these posts, we would be willing to consider an individual who has not been exposed to marketing and wishes to develop their career in this field. 

Each post will be based at one of our 24 Family Centre sites located across East Hertfordshire, to suit the successful candidate. Home working may be required in accordance with government guidance. 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Knowledge and experience of administration and ideally level 2 qualification
  • IT literate with a good working knowledge and understanding of Microsoft applications. Knowledge or experience of using social media and paid advertising for marketing purposes would be an advantage. 
  • Good standard of numeracy in order to process data accurately

  • Adaptable attitude with an ability and willingness to learn how to use new applications as they are adopted
  • Well organised, able to plan, prioritise and co-ordinate work so that regular, identified tasks are completed to the required standard within specified deadlines

  • Good communication skills and the ability to impart relevant information whilst maintaining confidentiality
  • Non-judgemental and understanding of the diverse needs of children and families

  • Ability and willingness to adjust working hours to meet operational needs, this will involve early morning, evening and weekend working
  • Able to work at other YMCA Family Centre sites if required

DUTIES

  1. Provide administrative support needed for the Data and Impact Team across the East Quadrant, including data entry and recurring data analysis tasks.
  2. Use the specialist children & families’ database for data entry. Data Entry to be completed in accordance with identified parameters, ensuring high levels of accuracy, whilst respecting confidentiality
  3. Provide support to other One YMCA departments and local partners as directed by the Data Impact and Development Officer
  4. Provide administrative support needed for the Marketing and Communications Team across the East Quadrant, including cataloguing and filing of electronic content.
  5. Basic video editing and application of branding to video.
  6. Support the Marketing Coordinator with preparations for filming sessions, including the booking of venues, preparation of venues and delivery of equipment to filming venues.
  7. Uploading of video and other digital content to Family Centre Service accounts on platforms including You Tube, in accordance with agreed internal processes.
  8. Attending meetings and taking minutes as delegated.
  9. Keep up to date with developments in the field of Family Centres and be willing to undertake any learning and development required by the role.
