Are you a fun, self-motivated person, with a passion for making sure young people’s voices are listened to and acted on by the people making decisions?

Do you have experience of working with vulnerable young people – in particular children and young people who are care experienced?

Are you a person with a huge heart, full of compassion and empathy?

We are looking for a Youth Participation Officer – or, as we call it, Youth Voice and Influence Officer – to lead our youth voice programmes in south east London.

The postholder will lead on:

• Leading on the coordination of 3 youth voice forums for Children in Care and Care Leavers, and associated programme of activities, events and opportunities.
• Supporting the delivery and projects of Greenwich Young People’s Council.
• Supporting our schools' peer education programme in Southwark.

The success of this role relies on building positive working relationships, clear communication and bringing the fun and love to all things #YouthVoice!

Applicants with strong experience of working with young people, a commitment to Participation People’s values, mission and approach, as well as good project management “know how” will thrive in this role.

The 'small print'

Start date: as soon as possible.

Term: This post is fixed-term, to end on 31 March 2022, with possible extension.

Office base: Woolwich, London.

Salary: starting at £24,700.
