Hours: 20 hours a week - to be worked over 3 or 4 days (to include a Friday morning)

Contract: 2 Year Fixed Contract

Our client is a charity committed to promoting the welfare of families with at least one child under the age of 5 in the boroughs of Woking and Runnymede

They provide one-to-one home-based support to parents and their under-5s. They also provide group sessions to support play, parenting, early learning and mental well-being. They aim to empower families, prevent family crisis and breakdown, help parents to grow in confidence, and to strengthen their relationships with their children and in the wider community.

Come and join their growing team to support local families in need. You will work as part of a small, friendly team to deliver immediate support and practical help on a short term basis to vulnerable families in their own home and the local community.  In addition, you will help lead groups and parenting courses.

You will work closely with other staff in the planning and delivery of individual and group support to families.  You will manage a small caseload of families with a variety of needs and will liaise with referrers and local partners.

They want to hear from you if you have:

  • Parenting experience and an understanding of families’ needs
  • Experience of supporting children and families
  • Experience of working with children with additional needs
  • Experience of delivering support to parents through groups and courses, ideally Parenting Puzzle
  • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures
  • The ability to work using your own initiative and in a small team
  • Good communication and networking skills
  • Experience of using IT systems

A car driver with use of a car is essential (expenses will be paid)

A DBS check at enhanced level will be required to be undertaken.
