Who we are
Future Men is a multi-award-winning specialist charity that supports boys and men along the path to becoming dynamic future men, whilst addressing the stereotypes around masculinity and engaging in the wider conversation of what it means to be a man. Through our evidence-based and practice-led services we encourage boys and men to explore, celebrate and build on the seven characteristics that we believe contribute to positive masculinity.
Our Vision
A better future for every boy, every man and everyone.

Company
Through a front-line delivery of services that are both evidence-based and practice-led, we work with boys and men to help them become dynamic and healthy future men. From structured school programmes and youth hubs to individual one-to-one sessions and outreach work, we provide the vital support and advocacy that changes boys and men’s lives for the better.
Schools
Our schools work supports boys as they go through key transitions in their lives, inspiring them to make positive choices for their futures.
Boys’ Development Programme
The Boys’ Development Programme is delivered to boys in the final years of primary school, preparing for transition, and to boys at varying stages of secondary school. Combining one-to-one mentoring and group sessions, the programme encourages boys to improve their skills in effective communication, conflict management and emotional literacy.
The programme facilitates positive peer mentoring and is tailored to be inclusive of all school aged boys including those who may be at risk of disengagement or exclusion. Through meaningful activities and discussions, boys are encouraged to thrive in education, develop their aspirations and to navigate the challenges of male adolescence.
Fatherhood
Our Parenthood work offers services ranging from one-day courses for new and expectant dads to support for young dads.
Future Dads
Future Dads is a one-day course for new and expectant dads, that demonstrates practical and emotional approaches to take care of themselves, their partner and their baby.
The course offers a space for men to come together to share their concerns, excitement and expectations of becoming a dad.
Fathers Development Programme
The Fathers Development Programme is delivered through one to one sessions and group support, engaging with men in their caring roles to encourage them to be actively involved in their children’s and families lives. Working in close partnership with children and family services, we offer support and mediation to fathers in crisis, focusing mainly on those aged 13-25, with additional support up to 35.
Communities
Our work in communities offers support to boys and young men through outreach and intervention, as well as youth hubs that offer a space for young people’s personal and social development.
Ventoring
Based on outreach and street work, the Ventoring approach primarily focuses on young men who are NEET (not in education, employment or training) or involved in anti-social or criminal behaviour. Delivered through one-to-one and group sessions, the Ventoring approach gives boys and men the opportunity and space to vent, to experience a teachable moment that leads to mentoring and coaching. The end goal? To increase opportunities for boys and men, empower them to seek a life with positive choices, and to inspire them to become dynamic future men.
Advocacy
We advocate for boys and men through influencing policy and practice, whilst addressing the stereotypes around masculinity and engaging in the wider conversation of what it means to be a man. Our work addresses some of the biggest societal issues facing this group, such as low education attainment, poor mental health and youth violence.
The All Party Parliamentary Group on Fatherhood
As joint secretariat of the All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Fatherhood, we help to promote the wellbeing of children by ensuring that legal and policy frameworks keep up with the changing nature of family life and that legislation encourages active and responsible fatherhood.
