Social Care Regulatory Inspector

South West

£51,362 (post probation) + home-based working and vehicle user allowance + performance-related rewards and other benefits. An additional market supplement may be available for exceptional candidates.

As a Social Care Regulatory Inspector, you’ll put the experiences and progress of children and young people at the heart of all that you do. You will be joining a supportive professional environment with some fantastic benefits. Inspecting a range of settings from children's homes to residential special schools, you will identify what is working well for children and where things need to be better.

With outstanding leadership qualities, you are able to build relationships and recognise great practice. You will give tough messages when you need to, inspiring providers to improve. You are incisive and determined, able to gather clear evidence to support your judgements. It’s a great opportunity for you to make a difference to children’s lives through inspection.

Successful candidates will come from a variety of backgrounds; you may be the registered manager of a children’s home or a social work manager in a local authority. You will hold a relevant Level 5 Diploma or social work qualification and have a comprehensive track record in improving outcomes for children.

For more information about the role and how to apply, please view our recruitment brochure. The brochure should be accessible to most candidates – however, you can also view a plain text version.

If you think you have the right experience and are excited about working for us, we would welcome your application.

The closing date for applications is 11.55pm on Tuesday 9 March 2021.

If you’re interested in this role, but not based in South West, please register your details. We will notify you when vacancies become available in your area.
