Salary (Director Grade DG6) £70,991 - £76,176 per annum

As we develop and invest further, we are looking for an exceptional person who can bring creativity and innovation to drive the Council’s Youth Service to the next level through continuous improvement and engagement.

We are seeking a highly organised leader with an eye for detail and excellent people skills to influence and collaborate with other Council, statutory and community-based services. You should be able to motivate the workforce and promote good working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders along with having a passion for delivering excellent services to young people that supports the Council’s outcome-based approach and wider prevention strategies.

You should have commitment and enthusiasm for working with young people, with a proven track record for delivering diverse youth services in a major local authority, transforming services, and driving forward service improvements at scale to improve and deliver the best possible outcomes for the young people of Sheffield

As Head of Community Youth Services, you will be leading a service area in line with portfolio and corporate aims and priorities, building a high performing, innovative, youth focused culture that delivers quality and embraces change. You will also be required to contribute to Sheffield City Council’s wider development and delivery of cross-cutting areas to create excellent youth services and improve the quality of life for young people.

Selection will be a 2-stage process. The first stage will take place week comm 15 March 2021, applicants successful at this initial stage will be invited to final interview week comm 22 March 2021. The recruitment process will take place over video.
