Opportunities available in Norwich or Dereham

We have ambitious plans to shape how we work with families, placing practitioners and relationship-based practice at the heart of what we do. Through Vital Signs, our vision for Children in Norfolk, we work with whole family networks and across the whole system to support families to build on their strengths and to achieve the best possible outcomes.

As part of our ambitious plans, we are working closely with North Yorkshire County Council to adopt and adapt their pioneering No Wrong Door – Strengthening Families Protecting Children (SFPC) programme to support young people who are within or on the edge of the care system. Bringing together a team of specialists through a central hub, our new model, named New Roadswill work with young people experiencing complex journeys and combines short term residential care placements and edge of care support through a range of specialist and wrap-around services.

We are looking for qualified Clinical Psychologists to join our team as Life Coaches to build a trusting relationship with young people through intensive support to enable assessments, formulations (psychological understanding based on theory/research) and interventions. You will provide highly specialist psychological assessment of clients with highly complex conditions based on the appropriate use, interpretation and integration of data from a variety of sources.

With responsibility for recognising the potential for or signs of client harm, abuse or neglect, including poor clinical practice you will report all such concerns and take all reasonable steps to protect the client. You will formulate plans for highly specialist psychological therapy and/or management of clients’ mental health conditions based upon an appropriate conceptual framework and evidence-based practice.

With a postgraduate Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (or equivalent for those trained prior to 1996), you will have HCPC registration. You will have experience working as a qualified clinician and working in CAMHS or in Adult Services with clear evidence of transferrable skills. With experience of specialist assessments, you will have devised treatments for children or adults with behaviours that challenge.

This is a great opportunity to be part of our exciting new service, connecting and engaging with young people to support them to achieve the best possible outcomes in life.

All our office-based roles are currently working from home as part of our Smarter Working plans and to support the health and safety of all our colleagues. We anticipate that working remotely will be a key feature of this role and when offices re-open your office base will be Norwich or Dereham.

Our technology platform and equipment is first class enabling you to connect and collaborate remotely. We ask that you have in place good Broadband connectivity.
