Witherslack Group are looking for a Registered Manager for one of our established children’s homes to create a setting where each child can thrive and reach their full potential. This is a great opportunity to join Ofsted’s number 1 children’s home provider and help us to provide the highest quality care to our young people.

The children and young people at this home may have had difficult starts in life and experienced a range of traumatic events. We provide a holistic therapeutic environment with emphasis on building relationships and attachments to supportive adult role models, breaking the cycles of trauma by stabilising the psychological effects.

About you

As Registered Manager, you’ll make sure the children feel happy, safe and motivated, while keeping your home’s standards high. Managing day-to-day operations, you’ll take ownership of Ofsted statutory requirements, as well as playing an active part with the commercial team. Your input will help the children’s home run within budget, in turn enabling future investment.

Here at Witherslack Group, we pride ourselves on providing an excellent level of care – 55% of our homes are assessed as ‘Outstanding’! – so you’ll need to have experience in managing an Ofsted-rated ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ children’s home. Your experience should come with a professional qualification: the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England) or equivalent.

Enthusiastic, resilient and good with people, you’ll have the judgement to make key decisions, and will be able to inspire, develop and grow exceptional teams and the leaders of tomorrow. In turn, we’ll give you the opportunity to build an exciting career in a fast-growing organisation, where you’re free to achieve your potential.

A full UK driving licence is essential for this role.

At Witherslack Group, we believe the level of care and education for our young people must go above and beyond. With our high staff-to-child ratio and in-house clinical teams, our children’s homes have a reputation for excellence. • Long-Term Incentive Plan, with a bonus of up to 30% of your salary each year

  • Up to 5% contributory pension
  • Life insurance based on two times your annual base salary
  • 35 days’ holiday (including bank holidays)
  • BUPA Healthcare
  • Comprehensive induction and exceptional ongoing training
  • Health cash plan e.g. dental, optical and physiotherapy
  • 24/7 counselling service
  • Cycle to Work scheme
