Pause Worcestershire Practitioners

Starting Salary for new Pause Practitioners: £31,009

Are you an ambitious, creative and influential leader or practitioner who is passionate about reducing the number of children being removed into care by supporting women to bring about change in their lives? Do you have direct experience of working with and affecting change in vulnerable individuals? Or are you an organised, innovative, administrative professional?

Pause is a charity seeking to prevent the damaging consequences of thousands more children being taken into care each year. We work with women who have experienced – or are at risk of – repeated pregnancies that result in children needing to be removed from their care.

The programme gives women the chance to pause and take control over their lives, breaking a destructive cycle that causes both them and their children deep trauma, as well as reducing huge costs to society and the taxpayer.

Our Pause Worcestershire service will go live on the 23 November 2020 and will be delivered by Ripplez CIC, working in collaboration with Worcestershire County Council and Bridges Outcomes Partnerships. What is more, we are very excited to announce that we have secured additional resources to increase the size of the new team, allowing us to recruit two more practitioners. This means that we will be able to reach more women.

The Role:

As Pause continues to spread and progresses from strength to strength, we need great people to lead, develop and coordinate our Practices.

As a Pause Practitioner, you will be responsible for implementing a range of interventions and support measures as part of an integrated package of health, therapeutic and social support

You’ll be a big part of a small team, where everyone takes a flexible and collaborative approach to work, and is committed to improving outcomes for vulnerable and marginalised groups

Like Pause, you will be passionate about changing entrenched social issues, and will respond by ‘doing things differently’. You will play an integral part of a team where everyone takes an energetic, flexible and collaborative approach to their work, and are committed to improving outcomes in society.

Please note: secondments for the Practitioner roles from relevant partner agencies will be considered – this could be from Children's Services, Adult Services, Health, Probation, Mental Health Services, or other relevant voluntary services.

The interviews will be held on 4 November 2020. The specific arrangements for these will depend on the latest Government advice in the light of the Corvid-19 pandemic. The closing date is 25 October 2020.

If you are shortlisted for interview you will be contacted by email. If you have not been contacted within 4 weeks of the closing date then please assume you have not been shortlisted on this occasion.
