Lead Youth Worker

Salary: £13.84 per hour, 47 weeks equivalent to - (£12,034)

Hours: 18.5 hours (spread over evenings with administration time)

SLA: Work in line with R Time Advisory Board requirements

Location: Stockport borough

Closing Date: Monday 12th October 5pm

R Time is a project for *Young People living within Stockport, that not only provides positive, fun activities, but allows young people to have a voice and shape provision across the Borough.

The R Time project is looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Youth Worker to become a key part of achieving sustainable and positive provision in Stockport.

The Lead Youth Worker will be expected to deliver the service as per the specifications of the project and to the standards that the funders home services (Life Leisure, Stockport Homes and Stockport Youth Justice and Targeted Youth Support Services) expect.

It is key that the deliverer has an understanding of young people, youth work and **priority areas in Stockport with the ability to innovate and think creatively about needs. The Lead will develop sessions in targeted areas and work closely with young people engaged in anti-social behaviour to create positive solutions.

Experience in delivering youth activities, youth engagement and completing administrative tasks is essential as part of the role. Leading on the creation of Youth Panels will become integral to your work as we work towards empowering young people to make decisions around provision in Stockport.

Please note the successful candidate will be required to be self-employed and therefore agree to a sub-contract to deliver the services and requirements of the R Time Partnership.

Interviews are planned to be face to face however dependent on the government guidelines interviews may be delivered through a video call.

*Definition of Young People = anyone aged 5 – 18 years, or for SEND young people up to 25 years

**Definition of Priority Areas = these areas are based on the Index of Multiple Deprivation therefore demonstrating income deprivation, employment deprivation, low levels of education and health, high levels of crime, and poor living environments
