Service Delivery Manager - Families First

Leeds is a Child Friendly city where we are constantly striving to make a difference and improve outcomes for young people and their families. Our achievements were formally recognised last year by Ofsted when we were judged to be an ‘Outstanding’ children’s social care service.

We recognise the important role of Early Help in terms of a whole systems approach to service transformation and have increased our investment in this area. We now have an exciting opportunity for a Service delivery Manager.

This is an exciting and opportune time to take on the role. Leeds is one of a small number of authorities who have attained Earned Autonomy and are using the funding to develop and embed innovatory early help practice across the partnership. This includes three multi agency hubs, Stronger Families and an integrated service at our front door safeguarding hub which was widely praised in our Ofsted inspection

We are looking for a strong leader who has extensive experience of partnership working with strong people skills and is passionate about making a difference.

You must have a degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification to manage and further develop our innovative and nationally recognised response to the Troubled Families Programme.  As Service Delivery Manager for Families First you will be expected to have experience of delivering Early Help services and of working with a range of internal and external partners.  Knowledge of research and practice evidence is essential as is having an outcomes focused approach and been able to lead inspire people.

We want to hear from individuals who have a strong value base and the leadership skills, passion, empathy, compassion and commitment to enhance the service that is offered to children and families across our city.

Applications from across the partnership for a secondment opportunity would be welcomed.

We would be delighted to have an informal conversation with you about this exciting role, contact Paul Reddiex, Head of Service Early Help (07891270090 ) or Julie Longworth Chief Officer (0113 3786386).
