HEAD OF SEA CADET LEARNING DEVELOPMENT

Location: MSSC HQ, London SE1 7JW

Salary: Up to £43,000 per annum, depending on experience

Contract: Permanent, full time

Please note that this role is not an HR or L&D role and has a strong youth development focus.

  • Are you experienced in working with youth development and for a charity where we change young lives? 
  • If you’re an organised, efficient, pro-active manager with extensive youth development experience or current Head of Youth Development this could be the role for you. 

The role:

  • We are looking for an experienced strategic thinker, to lead on all Sea Cadet youth learning development to help the charity provide the high quality learning, training and other development activities to support our amazing Volunteers and Cadets.
  • As Head of Sea Cadet Learning Development you will lead on the development of innovative training for young people, from defining the need for training to implementation, ensuring we deliver a high impact experience for our Sea Cadets and support our volunteers in the delivery of that experience as well as ensure that everything we produce is of the highest quality from each package of learning to every learning publication.
  • Who are we? What we’re looking for? 

Someone who has;

  • Experience and knowledge of informal learning, youth or education programmes within the charitable sector
  • Experience of working with volunteers training and development
  • Experience in developing, implementing and evaluating programmes of activity for young people
  • Experience in programme needs analysis and designing innovative learning solutions
  • A strong background in leadership and management, with the ability to lead, manage, motivate and develop your team
  • Proven experience in strategic development, both contributing to and shaping strategy.
