Volunteer Support Administrator based MSSC HQ, London SE1 7JW

Salary: £22,000 per annum

Marine Society and Sea Cadets (MSSC) is the nation’s largest maritime charity and the governing charity of the Sea Cadet Corps (SCC), a civilian voluntary youth organisation comprising some 400 or so volunteer Sea Cadet Units, throughout the UK. The SCC offers a wide range of youth opportunities with the same enduring objective – to foster good citizenship in the community.

We currently have a vacancy for a Volunteer Support Administrator in our busy Volunteer Support Department at our Headquarters in London, SE1.

The responsibilities of the post include maintaining the records of adult volunteers in the Sea Cadet Corps, providing support to them around this, and providing general administrative assistance in the department.

Proven administrative and IT (MS Office and database inputting) skills are essential. The successful candidate will be organised, have good verbal and written communication skills and be a strong team worker. Due to the sensitive nature of some of the information being processed, tact and discretion are also essential.

This is a permanent contract, and is a full-time role based on a working week of 35 hours. The leave entitlement is 20 days per annum plus public holidays.

Applications should consist of a completed application form, and the completed equal opportunities monitoring form, both available from the website. Please feel free to submit your CV in support of your application.

Please email applications to recruitment@ms-sc.org. Alternatively, please print out and post your completed application form to Zivile Tervydyte, The Marine Society and Sea Cadets, 202 Lambeth Road, London SE1 7JW.

Closing date for applications is 16 August 2019

Interview date: 27 August 2019
