Deputy Manager - Young People’s Service

At St Mungo’s our vision is that everyone has a place to call home and can fulfil their hopes and ambitions.

We are looking for a Deputy Manager for our West Oxfordshire Young People’s Service. The West Oxfordshire Service supports 26 young people aged 16-25 who are homeless and have complex needs housed in a number of properties across Witney and Carterton.  The service is made up of 7 small units comprising emergency, assessment, general and step-down beds.

In this exciting role you will work alongside the Service Manager to manage the day-to-day running of the service and provide management and support to staff within the team.

We are looking for a dynamic person who is committed to client engagement, using a strengths based approach to achieve positive outcomes including independent living skills and transition to employment. You will ensure our clients are safe and that we provide high standards of property management and casework, as well as being able to build and develop effective working relationships with partner agencies and stakeholders.

This is an exciting and challenging position that would suit someone with some previous experience of working with vulnerable people with complex needs, and the ability to manage dispersed services safely and effectively.

In return, we offer a range of benefits including a pension scheme, staff discounts scheme and flexible working to help you maintain a healthy work/life balance. We are also committed to providing our staff with a wide range of learning and development opportunities; in support of their personal and professional development.
