Business Manager – Local Safeguarding Children Partnership

£47,536 to £57,657 per annum, pro rata Incremental progression is subject to performance.

Part Time - 18.5 hours per week

Solihull Local Safeguarding Children Partnership (LSCP) has developed a new and innovative approach to multi-agency child safeguarding arrangements within Solihull. As a result of recent changes in legislation we have built on what has always been a strong partnership to move to a more agile way of working, with the aim of being focused on ensuring efficient and effective child safeguarding in Solihull through the continuous improvement of service delivery.

The safeguarding partners are now offering an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and forward thinking Business Manager to lead the LSCP Business Unit, to work closely with our partners and relevant agencies, to use our new arrangements and deliver service improvements.

As Business Manager you will have overall responsibility, providing management focus to the planning, development, delivery and monitoring of the priorities and objectives of the Local Safeguarding Children Partnership as well as ensuring it fulfils its statutory responsibilities, national and local requirements. You will also be expected to provide professional advice and support to the independent scrutineer of the Partnership, and build and maintain successful joint working arrangements.

To make this outstanding opportunity yours, you will be able to demonstrate experience of working in a complex partnership environment.  With professional knowledge and experience of safeguarding as well as proven operational management experience that supports on-going service improvement, you will build and maintain positive relationships, able to negotiate and influence at a strategic level.

In return we offer the opportunity to work with a highly dedicated and professional group of people from across a wide range of agencies.  Working for Solihull means that we can also offer employees, flexible working options, an attractive salary and a range of staff discounts and benefits, including a career average pension scheme.
