Who we are

Future Men (FM) is a specialist charity supporting positive male activity, engagement and involvement. FM has expertise in the challenges and solutions in working with boys and men who are socially or economically disadvantaged, marginalised or isolated.

Our interventions focus on the transitional times in life such as starting school, getting a job or becoming a parent; these are the times when men and boys are most likely to encounter challenges and therefore most likely to engage or seek help. Our aim is to significantly reduce the number of boys and men, particularly from socially excluded or disadvantaged backgrounds, who are unable to achieve their full potential to become productive and active members of society.

Project Coordinator (Boys’ Development) -

The locality work for the full time role is based in Southwark and Westminster.

The locality work for the part time role is based in West London.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive and organised individual with highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to evidence-based practice.

As a Project Coordinator (Boy’s Development) you will be responsible for delivering a range of services in primary and secondary schools, supporting FM development and transitional work with boys and young men.  You will undertake group work and one to one mentoring, supporting improved behaviour, wellbeing and engagement in schools, and successful transitions into secondary school. A key element will be to support new developments, to identify best practice and to embed these in current services.      

The programme explores a range of subjects such as masculinity, identity, conflict, health and well being, aspirations and emotions.

The successful candidates should also be able to use standard IT such as Outlook, Word, excel etc. We also use Views monitoring software for evaluating and recording outcomes of the work.
