Salary Details: Up to £80,000 + 30% long-term incentive bonus + car + family BUPA insurance

We currently have 18 schools and 24 children’s homes UK wide, our most southern locations are Warwickshire, Leicestershire and Oxfordshire. This role will support our growth into Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, Wiltshire and Oxfordshire. We can be flexible around your base location, however, regular travel will be required across the region.

We believe all children and young people should be given the best possible futures. To help drive our ambitious growth plans across the South, we’ve created this new position for a talented Regional Director.

Your role

In this senior and influential role, you’ll provide inspiration and genuine support to the teams you’ll recruit and to help them open outstanding brand new children’s homes across the region. Helping them to create the best possible outcomes, the stability you’ll help to bring, by developing encouraging environments where young people can thrive, cannot be underestimated. This is a pivotal role, where the quality of welfare of young people rests on your efforts and your ability to motivate your team to hold the highest standards, with a clear focus on Safeguarding. More of our homes are rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted than our competitors, your experience will help drive our growth into the South with a continued quality and ‘Outstanding’ offering.

Building strong relationships across the Group, you’ll ensure an integrated approach with our young people’s care, education and therapeutic care, making sure everyone is working toward the same goals and communicating effectively. Not to mention with Local Authorities and LADO, giving them every reason to trust in and feel confident about our services. As part of your role you’ll review and meet with referrals, assessing their needs and how they will fit with our services and the other young people in our care.

Your profile

We’re looking for a care professional with vast experience and real gravitas. Having already proven yourself in multiple-site management, you’ll have worked in homes with 5+ beds as either a Regional or Registered Manager. Well versed in the Ofsted inspection process and how to build and lead an outstanding team, you’ll understand the subtleties of our sector and be able to manage and motivate disaffected and sometimes challenging people to achieve the best possible outcomes.

To do this, you’ll need knowledge of Child protection, Health & Safety, Quality Standards 2015 and Children’s Home Regulations. Knowledge of the SEN code of practice and the ability to demonstrate innovative practice would be highly advantageous. If you also have experience in both the public and private sectors and experience of managing budgets and meeting financial targets, so much the better. You may have an advanced SEN qualification, along with a higher level of qualification in care. Finally, a full UK driving license is a must for this role.

The level of care and education provided must be of the highest quality, that’s what drives us, here at Witherslack Group. With our high staff-to-child ratio and in-house clinical teams, our children’s homes have a reputation for excellence. Through our inspirational homes, schools and ethos, we’ve achieved the best possible outcomes.

Reward

Up to £80,000 basic salary, 30% Long Term Incentive plan, company car £30k and family health insurance (BUPA), up to 5% contributory pension, 35 days’ holiday (including bank holidays), comprehensive induction programme and exceptional ongoing training.
