Service Manager – Young Men’s Service

Safer London believes every young person should be given the opportunity to live free from exposure to youth violence, exploitation and crime and we work tirelessly to make this happen. Our aim is to create lasting change by preventing violence, exploitation and crime from negatively impacting on young Londoners.

You will be joining a team of creative and passionate individuals whose courage has empowered thousands of young people in the capital to stay safe and happy.  During 2017/18 alone we reached more than 14,000 Londoners, of whom over 9,000 were young people. We are looking for individuals who share our vision to join us and help make a difference.

Are you passionate about supporting, protecting and advocating for some of London’s most vulnerable children and young people? Are you looking for a management role within an organisation which is courageous and innovative in its approach to supporting children and young people exposed to harm through violence, exploitation and crime?

If so, this could be an exciting opportunity to Join our Young Men’s Service.

As Service Manager, you will manage the local delivery of Safer London’s services which focus on extra-familial harm in relation to violence, vulnerability and exploitation. Our current services focus on child exploitation, harmful sexual behaviours, domestic violence, mentoring and exiting gangs.

You will manage a staff team and support direct work with children, young people, families and communities ensuring that services are delivered in line with stated outcomes and evidence effective practice. You will contribute to the monitoring of Safer London’s contracts and grants and project activity to funders. You will develop and support relationships with local partner agencies and voluntary sector organisations and work with the wider organisation to develop new and existing projects and activities and identify funding opportunities.

Closing date for all applications is midnight on Sunday 28th April 2019

Interviews will be held on 2nd May 2019.
