The Opportunity 

We are seeking an experienced Team Leader to manage a team delivering comprehensive prevention and treatment services to young people in Milton Keynes.

About us

Compass Milton Keynes Young People’s Service provides targeted and specialist interventions for children and young people who are affected by their own or another person’s substance misuse. 

About the role

As well as supporting the Service Manager with day to day operational requirements, you will also play a key role in the development and progression of the service. You will contribute to the service’s overall performance by ensuring targets are achieved and young people receive consistently high quality services. 

You will line manage and supervise staff within the young people’s team, supporting them to achieve high professional standards, whilst ensuring that best practice guidelines are adhered to at all times.

You will take a lead role in developing a range of interventions that meet the needs of service users, as well as developing projects across the young people and adult services to build an integrated health & wellbeing hub.

You will be expected to develop and maintain effective partnership/stakeholder relationships and actively promote the organisation and its services.

You will also carry a small caseload which will vary according to the needs of the service.

Working hours are Mon – Fri, with occasional evening and weekend working.

The person

Experienced in supervising staff and delivering services to young people, including the delivery of psychosocial interventions, you will also have at least 2 years’ experience of working within a substance misuse setting.

You will have detailed knowledge of all forms of substance misuse treatment and an in depth understanding of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
