As part of the Better Start Bradford programme, Bradford Trident is looking to appoint:

Community Engagement Strategic Lead 

£34k per annum, 37 hours per week

This role is funded for 3 years and DBS/CRB Disclosure at enhanced level is required

Are you passionate about the Better Start Bradford vision and the prospect of working with our communities to improve the life chances of our children?

Are you a relationship builder who believes in empowering communities to instigate change from the bottom-up?

Are you skilled in working with diverse communities with different cultures, faiths, expectations and aspirations and a sensitive manager of diversity?

A strategic Community Engagement Specialist is required to support Better Start Bradford to realise its ambition of a community where everybody feels it is their business to help raise healthy, happy and confident children.  The post holder will:

• develop and implement a strategy to engage and connect with families, neighbourhoods, grass root organisations and other stakeholders 
• take the lead in championing cultural change, which empowers the communities served by Better Start Bradford, improves outcomes for children and contributes to sustainability planning

Better Start Bradford is a partnership programme working with expectant families and those with children under four to help give them the best possible start in life in our part of Bradford: Bowling and Barkerend, Bradford Moor and Little Horton.
