We are seeking to appoint a Residential Childcare Worker for the following homes:

18 Tipton Road is a large and spacious detached house located near to the centre of Sedgley.  There are a range of local shops, community and leisure facilities and a transport network affording access to other parts of the Borough.

Currently 18 Tipton Road offers accommodation for young people aged 10 - 17 on admission, who have complex social, emotional and developmental needs and/or a physical disability and/or sensory impairment.  We offer a positive developmentally appropriate and stable environment for the children whilst a permanent/long term placement is identified.

St James's Road is a medium to long term residential home for up to 4 children/young people, either gender aged 12 to 17 years old.

We have a dedicated staff team who have a wide range of different skills.

We are looking for someone who has innovation, flare and are passionate about caring and supporting young people in residential care.  To have the ability to develop relationships with the children/young people we work with and have a 'can do' attitude and are aware of young people's different needs and the needs around them.  You need to have a genuine interest in the wellbeing of the young people and believe in each of their potentials and strengths.

If you are child centred with a consistent approach and feel you could contribute to the safeguarding of children and young people in Residential care then we would like to hear from you.

We are looking to appoint two Residential Child Care Workers who will under the supervision of a senior member of staff, contribute to all aspects of the physical and emotional care of the child(ren) so as to promote their welfare whilst working in partnership with their family and other professionals.

In the absence of a more senior member of staff to be responsible for the Unit.
