Hours: 37.5 per week

Family support services are places where children under 11 years old and their families can receive seamless integrated services and information. It is also where they can access help from a range of multi-disciplinary teams of professionals.
The postholder will manage a Family Support District ensuring that the services meet the national and local requirements specified by the local authority and any relevant government agenda and frameworks. The role will promote an integrated approach to service delivery working within a multi-agency context.
The primary focus of role is ensuring the provision of a range of engagement activities, information support and advice to families, within the District, including working in partnership with other District Managers and agencies in order to ensure an integrated approach to supporting families, with a particular focus on the more vulnerable.
The key elements of the post are to:
a) Manage the day to day running of the Family Support service including the programme of activities ensuring effective integration of health, education, social care, employment services and the voluntary sector.
b) Provide vision and direction for the staff team within the YMCA Family Support District.
c) Ensure the effective monitoring of the service provision within the Family Support service to ensure that it meets with commissioning requirements and that outcomes and impact are evidenced for the large majority of the families in greatest need across the specified District.
d) Build and maintain partnership and multi-agency collaborative working relationships with a range of statutory and voluntary sector agencies in order to facilitate the provision of integrated support pathways for children and families across the specified District.
e) Support the Head of Family Support Service with the evaluation and development of the service.
f) Work towards and achieve the agreed internal and external Key Performance Indicators and performance objectives and ensure a high level of service is provided at all times.
