Job Details

Redthread works with vulnerable young people in crisis. Whether they have been the victim of a stabbing, are seeking support for anxiety, have suffered a sexual assault, or want to find a new home beyond the reach of a gang, we support them to overcome the challenges they face through our dynamic youth work programmes.

We are looking for an exceptional professional who is keen to learn, with proven ability to work with high risk, vulnerable young people, and the capacity to form effective working relationships with a wide range of partners and agencies. The role is based in the Emergency Department of Heartlands Hospital in Birmingham. The purpose of the role is to work with young victims of violence and exploitation in the ‘teachable moment’, empowering them to make positive choices and working with partner agencies for long-term change.
