Research and Policy Assistant

Contract: Permanent, 35 hours per week
Reporting to: Head of Policy & Public Affairs
Our client has an exciting opportunity to join their charity—that works to enable children & young people to fulfil their right to grow up safe, secure & supported and achieve their potential—as a Research and Policy Assistant.
The role will involve supporting colleagues on a variety of exciting research, policy and public affairs projects. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills with a busy and successful team.
You must have an understanding of, and interest in, research methods (quantitative, qualitative, and social) and the workings of government and Parliament, as well as strong administration skills and the ability to relate to children, young people, practitioners and policy makers.
Good knowledge of IT packages and ability to learn and develop new skills is a must.
Closing date: 9am Wednesday 30th January 2019
