Remuneration: 48k - 55k per annum subject to experience/25 days holidays/Pension
Hours: 40hrs per week (Flexible working essential)

Established in April 2016, with support from John Lyon’s Charity (JLC), Young Brent Foundation (YBF) is one of eight Young People’s Foundations across North and West London. Set up as a response to the funding cuts and current pressures on the Children and Young People sector, YBF is an umbrella membership organisation and has been working to collaborate and strengthen the Youth Sector in Brent.
We concentrate on five main strands of work:
FUNDING - YBF facilitate bringing increased resources into the London Borough of Brent for the benefit of children and young people using a consortia approach in order to access funding from a variety of sources.
VENUE BANK – Supported by John Lyon’s Charity, YBF will host a ‘venue Bank’ for groups to share and access available sites to run their projects by enabling more effective use of unused and underused Facilities.
SMALL GRANTS YBF support the delivery of JLC’s Small Grant fund to member organisations thus enabling small non-profit organisations to secure funding.
SECTOR DEVELOPMENT - YBF organise sector specific capacity building through training, information sharing, advice, networks and grants to support children and young people providers’ in their development, ability to prove impact and increase their sustainability.
COLLABORATION – YBF facilitates and enables cross sector networking through true partnerships which meet the needs of children and young people.
Over the last three years YBF has developed a diverse network of over 100 members, increased capacity through consortium development and brought in funding from various sources benefitting the membership and children and young people and their families in the borough. We have worked closely with key strategic partners including Brent Council, schools and local businesses, bringing them together with the expertise of our members to make sure children and young people in Brent, are supported to grow and achieve their potential.
The YBF Trustees are keen to employ a dynamic, experienced and capable CEO to lead the Foundation during its next exciting phase of development. The YBF has secured its long term financial future with guaranteed income in place until 2023.
Working closely within the Young People Foundations’ family and the YBF Board of Trustees, as the new CEO you will inspire and lead our small and effective YBF team. You will be willing to roll your sleeves up and take responsibility for an operational area; ensure governance and financial systems are robust; work closely with the trustees to set and agree strategic direction, deliver on agreed business plan objectives and ensure the YBF has an excellent reputation with funders, stakeholders, members and those we benefit. You will ensure the Foundation remains dynamic and resilient and continues to establish a collaborative and sustainable youth sector that champions and meets young people’s needs in Brent. Brent is the 2020 Borough of Culture, so you will be joining YBF at an exciting time.
