This is a very exciting development and we are looking to recruit experienced and passionate members of this multi-disciplinary team.
Emotional Health and Well Being Team for Children in Care
In partnership with Dudley and Walsall Mental Health Partnership Trust, Dudley Council is establishing an integrated emotional health and wellbeing service for children who are looked after and care leavers. The aim of the service is to help children and young people to achieve improved emotional health and wellbeing enabling them to engage in meaningful relationships, participate positively in the community, and take advantage of opportunities in education and learning and benefit from living within a stable care placement. Hours: 18.5 hours per week
It aims to meet the specific and often complex psychological health and well being needs of looked after and adopted children and the systems in which they are cared for. The service is multi-faceted and includes highly specialist psychological assessments, individual, family and group based therapy, advice, consultation, teaching, training and supervision. The EHWB Team is multi-disciplinary and aims to compliment and extend existing psychological and mental health services provided by the Dudley CAMHS Service and will facilitate referrals to local CAMHS where the child lives to ensure their emotional and mental health needs are met, accessing the right service at the right time.
