Are you an experienced, focused and successful IAG / Work Related Learning practitioner with line management experience looking for an exciting new opportunity?
Hertfordshire County Council, YC Hertfordshire is looking for a motivated, enthusiastic and experienced IAG practitioner to lead and manage a team responsible for the planning, delivery and evaluation of creative, innovative and focused information, advice and guidance and work related learning to support young people’s progression.
You will develop and performance manage a team of both IAG and WRL practitioners delivering to service priorities including the minimisation of those who are NEET and to a variety of both internal and external traded contracts.
You will be experienced in marketing services effectively both in and out of county to increase income.
You will develop new business, negotiate and agree traded delivery in a variety of settings both within and outside Hertfordshire
You will have a wide experience of working in school or college settings in the CEIAG field and the ability to successfully negotiate traded work, respond quickly and effectively to new initiatives so as to meet targets and successfully resolve any areas of risk.
You will have the ability to forge positive relationships with diverse groups of young people and partners, responding flexibly to the needs of young people and the Service. You will possess good IT, organisation and communication skills to record data on a management information system, produce reports and correspond with young people, parents and partners.
You will have experience of managing a diverse team of practitioners, able to lead and develop the team, conduct supervision, address performance issues and proven good management skills.
You will need to be flexible in your working hours to include some evening and weekend work and be able to travel across the county, so access to a vehicle is essential.
You will be qualified with the Diploma in Careers Guidance parts 1 and 2; QCG and/or NVQ Level 6 in Information, Advice and Guidance and be experienced in Employer Engagement via programmes such as Work Experience and have the confidence to promote the value of independent and impartial guidance with senior leaders in a variety of settings.
