This is a great opportunity to join a new team delivering an exciting initiative in Camden and Islington. The jobs advertised are part time so we are open to applications for individual roles or to work in more than one role. You will, however, need to complete an application form for each job you are interested in.

Maiden Lane Community Centre and Prospex are working in partnership to provide street based outreach work for young people aged 8-25 years from Camden and Islington.  Our work is geared towards prevention and early intervention to ensure that through the development of positive relationships together with transferrable life and employability skills young people are able to broaden their horizons and are given the tools to achieve their goals.

As part of the Street Team the focus of your work will be with vulnerable young people in targeted localities of need.  You will engage these hard to reach young people in their own environment including local housing estates, streets and parks.  You will support the young people to attend Maiden Lane and Prospex centre based activities and, where appropriate, signpost them to other key agencies.  You will contribute to the planning, delivery, recording and evaluation of the Street Team outreach sessions in accordance with Prospex and Maiden Lane’s policies and practices.

As part of the Maiden Lane Transitions team you will enable young people to take part in the planning of an exciting, innovative, age appropriate and challenging programme of centre based activities for 10-13 year olds that support the young people’s development. You will also help to track the experience and development of young people using the Transitions Project and evaluate the impact of the intervention.

Safeguarding children and adults is of utmost importance to Maiden Lane Community Centre and Prospex. We require employees to abide by all relevant legislation. These roles require a Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check.

Closing date: 25th June 2018.
