Chief Executive Officer

This is an exciting opportunity to lead Home-Start Essex through the next stage of development.

Home-Start Essex provides help and support to families across Essex facing a range of challenges including post-natal depression, isolation, physical health problems, bereavement, multiple births and many other issues. Families receive the support of a fully trained volunteer who will spend around two hours a week in a family’s home providing practical support and guidance to meet their individual needs. Home Start Essex also offers group work and a range of specialist projects, all responding to the needs of the families we serve.

Home-Start Essex was formed in early 2017 following the merger of 7 existing Home-Start schemes in Mid, South and West Essex. Over the last year we have undertaken a great deal of organisational change to create and shape the new organisation. We are now seeking a CEO to drive the organisation forward, embedding the new structure and processes we now have in place and focusing on future growth and development.

Reporting to the Board of Trustees, you will lead an exceptionally dedicated team of staff and volunteers. Your vision and leadership will drive and help achieve ambitious fundraising targets which will support the further development and expansion of our services.

You will be confident in your ability to operate at a leadership level, building strong relationships through collaboration, inclusion and inspiration.  Key to your success will be your ability to lead a senior management team and to secure substantial future funding.
