Hideaway Youth Project based in Moss Side Manchester has a vacancy for a full time youth worker.
Hideaway is a local community based, nationally recognised youth work charity working with young people aged 11-25 years old from diverse backgrounds.
We are recruiting a Youth Worker to enhance and develop our offer to young people.
Having secured additional funding through the Big Lottery, Reaching Communities fund until 2022 we are looking to build our staff team and help achieve our vision of inspiring the lives of young people through outstanding youth work.
The new Aspiring Lives programme will run a range of youth work programmes through three strands leading to accredited outcomes.
We are looking for enthusiastic and passionate youth worker who is committed to the impact that youth work can play in making a difference to the lives of young people, putting young people in the lead to develop and shape the services offered to them, and building the evidence base for great youth work.
The successful candidate will be experienced in working with young people in an inner-city environment, have excellent administration skills and a good working knowledge of the youth work curriculum and training programmes which result in clear learning outcomes. The candidate will have good interpersonal skills, the ability to establish positive relationships with young people, youth leaders and supporters. They should be passionate about working with people and in particular the needs of young people as well as being flexible in their approach with a broad range of stakeholders.
Salary: £22,489 +3% pension
The post requires a flexible approach to working including regular evenings and weekend working.
