Gloucestershire County Council
Lead Commissioner - Permanent £56,523 - £60,909 per annum
Children and Families Hub
At a really exciting and challenging time, as the public sector strives to manage increasing demand within constrained budgets, a new opportunity has arisen for an experienced commissioner to join our children’s services leadership team.
With increasing collaboration between health and social care in our county, you will lead and manage an effective and strategic commissioning portfolio, to deliver better services and outcomes for children, young people and their families.
As part of the children’s commissioning leadership team, you will hold a portfolio that includes the commissioning of services for early intervention, prevention, edge of care and early years.
With proven strategic leadership and management experience in relevant sectors, you will be fully conversant with the operational issues and integration opportunities between health and social care. Your strong interpersonal skills will ensure greater engagement with partners and stakeholders; you will be politically sensitive and have experience of dealing with elected members.
Gloucestershire is a great place to live and work. The county has huge diversity, easy access to other parts of the country and strong communities. It also has its challenges and this role offers plenty of scope for the right person to make a lasting difference.
