The Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund’s Airplay Youth Support programme is a vital part of our work. As an Airplay Station Youth Worker you’ll be working in our Airplay projects at RAF Benson and RAF Brize Norton, which are both busy and vibrant youth projects.


How you’ll make a difference:

  • By providing innovative and exciting youth and play work to young people aged 5 to 18.
  • By working alongside our RAF colleagues to support children and young people from the RAF community.
  • By supporting young people through various stages of their lives.
  • By being part of a much loved project across the entire RAF.


What you’ll need:

  • A level 3 qualification in youth work, or the willingness to undertake the training.
  • Previous demonstrable experience of leading a youth work project.
  • An understanding of the issues that affect young people.
  • An ability to plan and deliver creative programmes.
  • An ability to lead and inspire a team of sessional youth workers and volunteers
  • A firm commitment to the safeguarding of children and young people.

This post is a 37 hour a week position – Monday to Friday and will involve working several evenings each week delivering face to face youth work at both RAF bases. The main working base will be RAF Brize Norton and travel time and mileage costs will be included for travel to RAF Benson.
