The Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund’s Airplay Youth Support programme is a vital part of our work. As an Airplay Sessional Youth Worker you’ll be working in our project at RAF Benson.

 

How you’ll make a difference:

  • By providing innovative and exciting youth and play work to young people aged 5 to 18.
  • By working alongside our RAF colleagues to support children and young people from the RAF community.
  • By supporting young people through various stages of their lives.
  • By being part of a much loved project across the entire RAF.

 

What you’ll need:

  • A level 2 (or above) qualification in Youth Work, or a willingness to complete the course.
  • Previous experience of delivering a programme of activities with young people both individually and in groups.
  • Planning, preparing and facilitating activities with young people.
  • Understand the values and principles underpinning youth work.
  • An understanding of the issues that relate to working with young people from military communities.

This post is a 10 hour a week position – generally required to work on a Monday and Tuesday evenings at RAF Benson Youth Club although during school holidays hours may differ and will be agreed in advance in partnership with the RAF Benson Community Support Team and Airplay Youth Support Team.
