We are offering an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young people to develop leadership skills and deliver social action projects in their communities.
At Groundwork we are dedicated to building the skills and knowledge young people need to effect positive change in the places where they live.
We are looking for an experienced youth or community worker with a proven track record in engaging and inspiring young people, managing projects, building partnerships with local stakeholders, funders and employers.
As Groundwork’s Youth Social Action Project Officer you will recruit and engage groups of young people in local social action projects. You will develop and manage relationships with partners who will support delivery by adding value indirectly or directly in a subcontractor role.
You will monitor and manage outputs and outcomes, budgets and adherence to contracts ensuring key targets are met. You will develop initiatives across the city bringing in partners and creating opportunities for young people to be involved in social action.
You will have had experience of working within a community youth work setting, working with hard to reach young people from deprived neighbourhoods. You will have the ability to motivate, inspire and positively progress hard to reach young people, forming trusting and positive relationships.
If you believe you can make a difference, we’d love to hear from you! We are an equal opportunities employer
