Team Leader (Queen Elizabeth & Heartland Hospitals)

Redthread works with vulnerable young people in crisis. Whether they have been the victim of a stabbing, are seeking support for anxiety, have suffered a sexual assault, or want to find a new home beyond the reach of a gang, we support them to overcome the challenges they face through our dynamic youth work programmes. Redthread is well established within London’s Major Trauma Network hospitals, and we’re excited to be launching our first Birmingham service at the Queen Elizabeth and Heartland hospitals in July 2018.

We are looking for an outstanding individual with strong leadership skills, proven ability to work with high risk, vulnerable young people, and the ability to form effective working relationships with a wide range of partners and agencies. The team leader will work across both hospitals, managing youth workers and a programme coordinator. Our work was recently featured on BBC News which gives a taster of what we do. The purpose of the role is to establish and lead the Youth Violence Intervention Programme team at Queen Elizabeth and Heartlands Hospitals, and ensure that Redthread’s model of intervention is delivered consistently and appropriately to all young people accessing the service.
