Rutland is one of the best places in the country to live, learn, work, play and visit. We may be the smallest Unitary Authority in England, but we can offer fantastic opportunities to make a real difference to the lives of the residents in our local community. This is your chance to become part of a great team, delivering great services throughout the County.
Rutland’s SEND Case Officer plays a key role in ensuring that children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities receive the appropriate support, resources and education to make a difference to their lives and help them achieve their maximum potential for learning and independence.
Working in a small team, you will be responsible for supporting statutory assessments and reviews of Education, Health and Care Plans. You will be required to engage with service users, their carers and other professionals in undertaking assessments and creating robust child centred plans.
This varied role will require the successful individual to have experience of working with children and young people with SEND, undertaking case work and adopting a Person Centred approach. It’s essential that you have worked in partnership with parents, carers and other agencies and have a strong track record of achieving positive outcomes for children.
The successful applicant for this post will be subject to an enhanced check by the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
