Believe Achieve Succeed

Are you a qualified social worker looking for a new challenge in a forward thinking environment?

The Harmony Trust is a collaborative, successful and expanding network of primary academies located in Oldham and Derby.

We believe that every child, regardless of context, should have access to a high quality education. Together, we nurture supportive and caring learning environments with high expectations and a culture of no excuses.

We are now at a point in our journey to begin building a multi-disciplinary team (MDT) to work across all of the academes in our Oldham hub. This team will be at the forefront of developing high quality provision for our pupils, so this is an exceptionally exciting time to join The Harmony Trust in such a key role.

We serve some of the most diverse communities in Oldham, with over 20 languages being spoken across our academies and a significant proportion of our pupils being International New Arrivals. Alongside this we have exceptionally high levels of FSM, EAL and SEND across the hub.

As part of our growing MDT, an exciting opportunity for an academy-based social worker has arisen. This is a position in which you will be able to grow and develop your own team, creating a model that really works for our children and families. Developing the service in Northmoor Academy initially, our plans are to subsequently widen this out across the Oldham hub.

We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, thrives on challenge, and demonstrates a commitment to making a difference to the lives of our young people. As well as this, you will have the ability to build meaningful relationships at all levels, working closely with children, parents, families and the wider trust team. This is a critical role for The Harmony Trust and we are excited to welcome a new, talented and passionate member of staff to our team.

If you join us, you will be part of a team of talented practitioners who are committed to professional development and to sharing their expertise.  You’ll be challenged to be the very best but encouraged every step of the way, with access to exceptional career development opportunities to support your growth.

Closing date: 12pm Monday 19 February 2018

Interview date: week commencing 26 February 2018.

The Harmony Trust is committed to safeguarding and all posts are subject to an enhanced DBS check. Proof of eligibility to work in the UK will be required if you are invited to interview.
