£50,261 - £55,989 + up to £8,000 Relocation Allowance

Job number: SOJ05959

This is your chance to make a move and rediscover so much more than just a career. Working within our Children’s Services as a Senior Practitioner you’ll be part of a wider multi-disciplinary team, sharing a passion for providing our vulnerable children and young people with the best possible outcomes in life. You will be part of a service that it is in the early stages of development, improvement and restructure.

You’ll make the most of your social work and specialist experience, by holding a small caseload, supporting a team of between three to six social workers, and taking the lead in development of their practice. Leading the day-to-day delivery of social work services in your area of expertise, you’ll co-ordinate cases and take overall responsibility for the implementation of plans for children.  you’ll present cases to a range of Panels, to access the  resources needed to deliver those plans and meet service users’ needs.

Actively identifying and managing potential risks, you’ll support and guide social workers in challenging and reporting dangerous, abusive or exploitative behaviour, including potential criminal offences, and ensure they follow policies and procedures and practice standards at all times. Whilst managing your own, small number of complex, cases, you’ll have the full support and supervision of your Team Manager.

HCPC registered, you should have a professional social work qualification and a minimum of three years’ post qualifying social work experience - including three years’ experience within your specialist area. Should you join us, you’ll also need to register under the Health Care (Registration) (Jersey) Law 1995.

You’ll also need a comprehensive understanding of the full range of Health and Social Care services and of relevant private and voluntary sector providers, with the ability to lead and develop interventions through inter-agency communication and co-operation.

Jersey is an island community built on care and it’s why we look out for, and after, one another so well. This is your chance to make the move and start a new adventure. To rediscover why you love what you do, and who you are. This is care rediscovered.
