£45,612 - £50,261 + up to £8,000 Relocation Allowance
Job number: SOJ05960
This is your chance to make a move and rediscover so much more than just a career. Working within our Children’s Services as a Social Worker you’ll be part of a wider multi-disciplinary team, sharing a passion for providing our vulnerable children and young people with the best possible outcomes in life. You will be part of a service that it is in the early stages of development, improvement and restructure.
We are looking to recruit into the following four key areas within our Children’s Service: Children In Need (CIN); The Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH); Complex Needs; Fostering & Adoption.
Whichever team you join us in you’ll manage a mixed caseload, including some highly complex cases, of between 15 and 20, depending on levels of need, complexity and risk. Initiating and implementing plans for children, you’ll collaborate with a range of external services to access any resources required to meet the needs you’ve identified.
In everything you do, even when faced with challenging behaviours or circumstances, you should be able to think on your feet in a professional and balanced way. You’ll take any necessary immediate action to secure a child’s safety and welfare - reporting and discussing any substantial changes or case developments with your supervisor, to identify any needs or urgent intervention/actions.
As you work to help us provide a comprehensive assessment and protection service, you’ll benefit from a good balance of autonomy and support. You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day management of your caseload but you’ll always have someone to turn to, with regular supervision and the full support of your Team Manager and Senior Practitioners. In turn, you may be responsible for directing and supervising support workers allocated to a case, or supporting student social workers on placement with the team.
HCPC registered, you should have a professional social work qualification and a minimum of two years’ post qualifying social work experience. Should you join us, you’ll also need to register under the Health Care (Registration) (Jersey) Law 1995.
Jersey is an island community built on care and it's why we look out for, and after, one another so well. This is your chance to make the move and start a new adventure. To rediscover why you love what you do, and who you are. This is care rediscovered.
